A guy can only do so much b4 he’s burried in over his head..... some of us had to learn that a very hard way! Just a thought and don’t know how it would work out... but have u ever thought about viewers be it with experience that is,ever coming out to help with projects? Sometimes it could help a guy grow in his venture. I think I can speak for some wen I say it’s worth the investment of time to help a guy that clearly has been appreciated and respected! 777 brings back memories from around 60 to 64 my dad had a similar dirt track car his number was 414 it was a 37 Chevy with a 305 ( bored out) straight 8 Buick engine and trans with a Ford rear end it had a straight axel front end paint white with red numbers it had no clutch and a cut down flywheel with the center of the clutch disk welded to the small flywheel had great acceleration of course it was not legal lol raced it in Stillwater Hudson cedar lake Durand western wis and minn thanks for bringing back those memories I enjoy ur channel and hummer keep it up

What would it cost to have her race again ? I understand you do not want to wreck her. To run her on the street you need to move the shift and put in head lights and tail lights. I see you did not put bumper in front of the tires. If you want a history of thg car contact Ray evernham he rebuilds old race cars. He found and rebuild Marty Robbins Old race car.

For the 777 I would say put a classy vgg sticker or two on her buff out any tetanus givers then do co pilot runs around a track near by for the Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts or scouts in general.

While I love what you did to make it street legal, and Andy is a magician, a guy can't be a little sad about cutting off all that old home-tech booger welding. I love seeing how unsafe and janky those old racers were. As sketchy as it may have been - it won a lot of races. You did the right thing by making it safe for the road, but you know...sometimes a guy gets a bit nostalgic for the non-tech of the good ol' days, when you took your life in your hands just backin' it off the trailer... but then brought home the hardware and the trophy girl!

Does that 280z have a Chevy 350 in it? It looks a lot like a buddys car that has passed several years ago. If not mistaken he built it in NM and then hauled here to Illinois where it was sold probably 30 years ago.

With all the modifications you will have to do to make to the body to make it street legal, it will totally alter the look and it will lose its appeal. Leave it as is, and if you don't want to race it donate it to someone who will keep the legacy alive.

Rear End and trans or a gear vendor auxiliary trans for starters. Probably want to go at least 65-70 mph.

I hate to see the Grill Grate Windshield 9000 go, but such is the price of progress. A few lights and mirrors and she'll be ready to rock. I can't wait...

Just a thought just for when you need it if going to a show in hot summer......Pop in and out Plexi windows.....So stock when you get to shows but on the way if it is cold or hot you have protection......Ewwwww the blue Plexi like the Evinrude snow bile windshield......That might be mean looking!!!! Hidden speakers??? Make the inside of the trunk like a Jewelery Box.....Sharp looking....or bag it and keep it stock......See here is were we need your input on.....Keep it mostly as is....but road worthy or go a bit past original condition but make it look original Old Race look??? Definitely Keep outside as is!!!! You can not touch that ever!!!!

i about died when i saw the Vermont plates. my buddy who passed away December 2020 registered and plated all his cars in Vermont but "lived" in PA. He bypassed some bureaucratic BS to get his vehicles road "legal". keep the great videos coming!

Well it's all about safety. What you're going to need are some seat belts. I think if you took some 14/2 electrical cable. Well I guess you're going to need two pieces. You put a male plug on one end and on the other cable you put a female. Now what you do is take the ends with nothing on them and you use like a clove hitch to tie it to the roll cage. Now you get in and you plug the male into the female and you got a safety belt

Will it need marker ,tail, head lights or not

First of all, it needs bigger rear wheels. Then some sort of fenders. And original looking lights, except smaller.

Well for starters... you need front and rear lights, signals, stop lights and probably marker lights. Is there wipers? What are the pollution standards in your state? Any CAT requirements? Road ready or trailer ready.. a big difference!

That exhaust was f**king badass.

Some of that old school funky mirror voo-doo decal on the dash would be cool. a couple custom aluminum race seats with all the holes in them would be cool to..

The only thing I would say is leave it as it is just fix your vibration on the front end and then enjoy it I’m an old car buff are used to have a custom 57 Chevy four-door hardtop which I customize myself and we use the cruise with it enjoyed every bit of it

I love the idea putting it back on the street but Andy's going need do lot fixing those nasty welds left from the quick pit fixes to remove lot sharp edges & clean up the roll cage area to make it kid safe !

Gorgeous work. I don't mean any disrespect and it really does look like Andy tried to keep the spirit of the car in the improvements but when you hack stuff off a car like that you lose a little bit of it's soul. The "boogers", although unsightly was the efforts of a man with a dream but limited expertise and obviously limited means. I know you'll keep that history alive but man... it hurt to see him cutting on that thing. Just my opinion... I could be wrong.

Andy sure did make that front look alot cleaner. Nice updated side guards and shock brackets. Roll bar next so don't hit your head?

I think you could off set it’s vintage look by installing ultra high tech gauges, lights and gadgets. Make it a contradiction of then and now.

Headlights, Brake Lights, Turn signals Windshield at minimum plexiglass. And you need a Cadillac 501 motor for it
