controversial opinion but I look at the planet we’ve destroyed and think- what child would want to live here? Not me. I wouldn’t want my child to have to grow up on a dying planet and try and eek out a living when they can’t afford rent or food and jobs and medicare are a long gone dream. I would adopt, sure. but I will never have children for that reason.

I was also so scared of dying during childbirth (because it's A THING), but then I also ended up having the most amazing experience at BC Women's, with no meds (laughing gas only)... your body just takes over and we had our baby in the most perfect way. It's all part of the journey, and it's going to be ok :)

Both babies slept like rock stars for months in it.) and a white noise app on your phone. Seriously. Baby gets used to your body noises. White noise app helps them feel safe. But really, YAY FOR YOU GUYS!!!!! I hope it’s the easiest pregnancy ever followed by the easiest newborn and infant periods.

I went through 2 pregnancies back to back whilst suffering with PTSD depression and anxiety. I was on medication, and the guilt killed me. Fast forward a year and a half later, and I have two healthy beautiful children, and a fairly healthy body. I didn't give 2 shits what other people had to say about my meds or my diet. Live the journey a day at a time and best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

I totally relate to wanting to have kids by 25 when you’re younger. My mom was 26 when I was born and for some reason I got it in my head that that is the perfect age. But then 25/26 rolled by, and here I am almost 28 and I absolutely do not feel like my life is together enough for a baby.

I’d love to hear your recommendations on how you’ve dealt with the birth death anxiety (obviously only if you want!!). What are you doing about being on antidepressants during pregnancy? Sorry if that’s too personal of a question. I have fertility issues, I’m getting treatment and on antidepressants. Curious about how your doctor feels about it.

OMG yes I was the same. I just knew. It was so bizzare but my period was a day late and I knew. Because, youre a mom LOL Listen, Im a mom of two boys. You have to do you. Let your kids be who they are. Here is the funniest Mom story I have. My sis and I had our firsts 20 days apart. About a year in we were at a store and our kids were in carts fussing about something. We both looked at each other and said "Did you bring your ducktape?" It was just a moment of levity bc its HARD momming. We got the WORST looks..judged up and down yada yada. Well here is the thing. We laughed together. It helped get us through that moment, our kids are successful young adults now and are JUST FINE EVEN thOUGH we said that. I guess my advice is to just parent. Live with your kids. Laugh with them, read to them, let them cry, hold them, spoil them, teach them, educate them, provide feedback to them, let them jump in puddles, give them good limits, let them have candy, let them make decisions and just be there for them. DONT allow judgy people get in your head. You will be amazing because you are amazing.
