If you're a AM-postsr yourself these things are really important to know to maximize the amount you are earning for your effort. If you're not a AM-postsr, I hope this was interesting and cleared up any questions you had about AM-posts monetization!

It might be the average overall but what really matters is watch time as someone could have a 30 minute video that is watched 1000 times and another only 1 minute watched 1000 times and the 30 minute one would make much more revenue.

There is a lot more to it then just good looking women on the thumbnails. Sure that helps yes, but there are tons of channels that go no where that have pretty women on the thumbnails. You need good quality videos or no one will ever subscribe. Takes a lot of work and dedication not just looks.

No it doesn't. You need a minimum of 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of watch time within a calendar year to monetize your channel. If it only takes a month to get those numbers then you would be monetized then. Once monetized and you make a minimum of $100, google will pay monthly as long as that minimum is met.

I've also heard that where it is being viewed will earn you different rates. For example, a 1000 views in one country will pay you a different rate than 1K in some other country. So pay depends on where it is getting views.

I think for the most part the ads are based off of the viewers internet footprint. And the youtube must select if they want the videos monetized and then youtube takes care of it from there.

What bugs the hell outa me is channels that constantly stretch a 3 minute story into a ten minute video, by repeating themselves over and over, going into way too much detail, etc. "Did You Know?" is my top offender. And of course I hate clickbait, who doesn't. I always tell THOSE jerks, "ok, you got me to click ONCE, but never again! AND you get a thumbs down, AND no sub!"
