i wonder what one of my trucks is worth i got a 79 cheyenne full option short box truck 4x4 400 sbc with 400 turbo under 35000 miles on it in mint condition i was told it is worth a lot in the condition that it is in but i got it free so i have no idea what it is worth

@Troy English it is stock 400 sbc it don;t have hp what ever they came stock with never looked at that close it should say under the hood it has all the stickes it should have it there even the heat riser and smog pump works on it i would say 250 hp maybe if lucky

I got a 2000 Silverado, it's also my budget racing/mudding truck. Every month on payday, I order a new replacement/upgrade or 2. This month is glasspack and tune up month. I'm also getting my tax returns this month, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with that though. I already put almost $1k into her, I don't think I'm ever gonna stop. That truck has too many childhood memories to give up. I plan on keeping and upgrading her my whole life.

@Jake S very good guess on my age but i am actually 24. Yes you are correct I did make the mistake of thinking faster when i meant to say quicker. I’m am technically thinking drag racing but in the form of street racing. Yes technically we are both correct but i would like you to know i’m not a 13 year old that only thinks about drag racing, i’ve never left the usa but i have been to 31 states for many different races and competitions, even some of those were go kart races

@Colby Barbour no, actually they are not. First off you need to define your words. You're thinking of quicker, which is A to B. Faster is top speed. Second, you're very small minded and can only think in drag racing. On a road course there are many times you want to go into neutral. There is a reason time attack cars run manuals. When trucking and trying to make time an automatic is unable to know the road ahead and select the right gear. I'm guessing you're about 13 and don't know anything other than drag racing. This is a subject way over your head.

@Leo Coffy the 1983 Silverado 2x4's where also ifs. They were built on the same frame with the same suspension components as the Scottsdale. The only difference was in the badging and interior/exterior options. Furthermore the 1988 chevrolet Silverado 4x4 was the first year model for the 4x4s to have ifs.

So you spend a ton of money to upgrade it and went with a 383 over an LS really! As you rail on it being a quarter of a million miles and right off the bat its we plugged the break lines so the fluid doesn't drain out so it will be easier to bleed later, your doing all this work and your not planning on using new fluid, oh yeah and on the replacing the clip thats under spring tension on the drum brakes lets wear no eye protection and then put my face right over it and close enough where if it goes flying its going to hit you.
